Saturday night makes it alright! Decided to open a bottle for professional tasting purposes. This Joseph Carr 2014 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon had lots of blackberry, bright cherry, dusty cocoa and some some leathery aromas. The flavor brought out more sour cherry and plum. Nice acidity but not enough tannins to bring it into full balance. After the finish there was an unusual aftertaste…or maybe my sinuses?

Followed this up with a bright and lively Sancerre at Bistro Le Cep. Had the unexpected privilege to dine with the Mannke’s. Good food. Good wine. Great stories. Nice night!!

    1. I read it, too. He said he only sold 6500 copies. I enjoyed it. He has lived a fascinating life! His wife is lovely. They live life fully and he is full to the brim with great stories. Thanks for commenting!!

    2. I was going through my WordPress comments…. which I always appreciate! I saw your comment about Joe Manne and couldn’t remember if I told you I read the book, too. Fascinating. Stranger yet, I met Joe and his wife Connie and had an impromptu dinner with them about six weeks ago and they invited George and I to their home last week. AMAZING night. They are some of the sweetest people on the planet!!
Hope everyone is well in your world and that you will be seeing your boys soon. My Ryan has started with the FAA and we should (fingers crossed for good weather) see him for two nights at Christmas.
